The Coat Hanger Walker - one of the simplest walkers - build instructions can be found on streettech.com.
Also called quadrupeds, these robots have four limbs upon which they stand and that they utilize for locomotion. They are the most common form of BEAM walker. First, because four is the minimum number of legs needed to produce a stable walk (without problems - the history of bipedal robots is a long and winding road) and secondly, you can keep the design as simple as using just two motors. Although there are 4-legged walkers that have four or more motors.
