Differentiator

- A circuit or device that is designed such that its output is proportional (a constant ratio to) the derivative of its input. Differentiator circuits are typically used as a high pass filter.
In the case of a typical Nv, the derivative can be viewed as the instantaneous voltage (measured at the bias point) at a given moment during an active process, the process length being determined by the Nv's time constant.
