Power

Refers to the rate at which electrical energy is used by a circuit to do work.

That is, producing heat, light, sound or motion.

The standard unit of electrical power is the watt.

The amount of power used in a particular DC circuit can be determined with the formula "P = I * E", where:

P = the amount of Power used

I = the amount of current through the circuit

E = the voltage across the circuit
